Indian CDS General Anil Chauhan Reviews Operational Readiness Along Line of Control

India’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in IIOJK, reviewing the security situation and operational preparedness in regions bordering Pakistan.
During the visit, General Chauhan interacted with troops deployed at forward posts, including in Baramulla, and commended their vigilance. He also directed personnel to remain fully prepared to counter emerging and evolving threats.
Emphasizing the changing nature of warfare, the CDS highlighted the importance of multi-domain operations, enhanced jointness among the armed services, integrated command structures, and the adoption of advanced technologies. He stressed that future conflicts would require seamless coordination and technology-driven preparedness.
General Chauhan also visited the Chinar Corps Headquarters in Srinagar, which is responsible for military operations in the region. The area remains strategically sensitive, requiring continuous counterterrorism efforts and strict border surveillance.
The visit comes amid ongoing monitoring of the regional security environment, underscoring India’s focus on maintaining operational readiness along the LoC.
