NEOC issues alert regarding possible smog conditions in various parts of country

National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) of NDMA has issued an alert regarding possible smog conditions in various parts of the country.
According to the alert, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plains and upper Sindh are expected to experience a significant increase in fog/smog.
Visibility will remain low during night time and early morning hours due to fog up until Saturday.
NDMA has directed all relevant departments to take special measures to mitigate the effects of fog.
