11 Terrorists Killed in Successful Security Operations in Bannu and Adjoining Areas: ISPR

Security forces have successfully eliminated 11 terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan during intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu and South Waziristan districts, as well as Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, according to the military’s media wing and security sources.

In Bannu, two terrorists were killed in a targeted intelligence-based operation. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site, and the militants’ hideout was destroyed using explosives.

In the Ladha area of South Waziristan, five Khawarij terrorists were neutralised after security forces detected their movement and effectively engaged them.

Separately, four terrorists linked to Fitna-al-Hindustan were killed in an operation in the Sasool area of Khuzdar district, Balochistan.

All possible measures were taken to ensure the safety of civilians and their property during the operations. Clearance and sanitisation efforts continue in the areas to prevent any remaining threats.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have praised the security forces for the successful operations, reaffirming the nation’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.
