White House Launches Trump TV Amid Growing Fight With US Media

The White House has launched a 24-hour online video stream dubbed “Trump TV”, providing continuous coverage of President Donald Trump’s speeches, announcements, official events and selected archival footage.

The initiative allows viewers to watch presidential activities directly through a White House-operated platform rather than relying on coverage by traditional news organizations.

The launch comes amid an escalating dispute between the Trump administration and several major US media outlets. The White House has barred reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico from certain White House access, accusing the organizations of spreading what it describes as false or misleading reporting.

The three media organizations have challenged the restrictions in court, arguing that the administration’s actions infringe on press freedoms and the traditional role of independent journalists in covering the presidency.

The dispute has also affected the long-standing White House press arrangements, with several major television networks reportedly withholding or limiting shared camera coverage of White House events in protest.

Critics have described “Trump TV” as an effort to bypass independent news organizations and give the administration direct control over the presentation of presidential events.
