Afghan Taliban regime uses drugs, terrorist networks to support economy

In Afghanistan, Taliban regime has made drugs and proxy terrorist networks the sole support of Afghan economy.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has once again warned about the serious risks of crimes emanating from Afghanistan.
According to UNODC’s report published in Afghanistan International, the smuggling of dangerous drugs, such as methamphetamine, has risen to alarming levels under the Afghan Taliban regime.
According to the report, seizures of methamphetamine in the region increased by more than 50 percent compared to 2023, indicating rising production within Afghanistan.
