LAHORE (The Nation) — August 03, 2026: The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) has continued its annual Summer Art Camp without interruption despite ongoing renovation work at its historic Mall Road complex and the monsoon season, reaffirming its commitment to arts education for children.

According to the Lahore Arts Council, the camp is providing professional instruction in drawing, painting and calligraphy under the supervision of experienced artists. The programme, scheduled to conclude on August 5, has continued to attract a positive response from families, with admissions remaining open during the final phase of the camp.

Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said the institution remains focused on nurturing young talent despite the ongoing infrastructure upgrades.

He added that the continued public interest demonstrates the increasing importance of arts education in developing the country’s future generations.

The Summer Art Camp features practical training designed to help children develop artistic skills while encouraging imagination, confidence and self-expression. Participants are learning the fundamentals of drawing, painting and calligraphy through structured sessions conducted by experienced instructors.
