Field Marshal Asim Munir Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Stability During Quetta Visit

Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, visited Quetta Garrison on Tuesday, where he addressed student officers and faculty members at the prestigious Command and Staff College Quetta.
During his address, the Army Chief praised the institution’s high standards of training, intellectual excellence and professionalism, describing them as the hallmark of the college. He noted that its graduates have consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication in military service.
Highlighting the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare, Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of adapting to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, tri-services coordination and future battlefield challenges. He urged officers to continuously enhance their professional capabilities and ensure their troops remain prepared for the changing dynamics of war.
Later, the COAS & CDF interacted with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan. Addressing the prevailing security situation, he reaffirmed that Pakistan Armed Forces, with the unwavering support of the nation, remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.
The Field Marshal stated that Pakistan’s progress cannot be hindered through propaganda, fake news or externally sponsored terrorism. He emphasized that hostile elements using proxies and misinformation campaigns to destabilize the country would ultimately fail against the resilience of the state and unity of the people.
He further underlined that lasting peace and stability in Balochistan depend on a people-centric approach, inclusive development and improved governance alongside security measures. The Army Chief appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan aimed at public welfare, socio-economic development and strengthening ties between the state and local population.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also commended the high morale, operational readiness and professionalism of officers and troops serving in the province.
Earlier, upon arrival in Quetta, the COAS & CDF was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
