Islamabad Suicide Blast Claims at Least 15 Lives, Over 80 Injured

In a tragic turn of events on Friday, a powerful suicide bombing struck an Imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai Kalan area, killing at least 15 people and injuring more than 80 others during Friday prayers. The blast occurred at the Imam Bargah Khadijatul Kubra in the Shehzad Town vicinity, rocking the federal capital and prompting a city-wide emergency declaration by Islamabad police.

According to reports, the suicide bomber detonated explosives near the main gate of the Shia place of worship as worshippers gathered for congregational prayers. Casualty figures varied slightly in initial accounts، some sources reported 10–12 deaths with dozens injured, but later updates from rescue services and hospitals, including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), confirmed the toll rising to at least 15 dead and over 80 wounded, many in critical condition with shrapnel wounds and burns.
