Operation Bunyan-ur-Marsoos: A Year of Strategy and Strength

We are celebrating the first year of Operation Bunyan-ur-Marsoos. The operation took place last year in response to what Pakistan described as an unprovoked strike by India. Pakistan’s response was presented as decisive and befitting. With its full operational capacity, Pakistan claimed to have downed five Indian aircraft, targeting key installations and rendering parts of India’s military hardware ineffective. The much-touted S-400 defense batteries were reportedly outmaneuvered, while strategic bases were struck with lightning force, causing significant losses.

The episode, according to official narratives, highlighted the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces — its military coordination, air defense capability, and maritime presence across international waters — earning Pakistan widespread recognition and acclaim.
It is now considered a matter of national pride for Pakistan to act as a problem solver in evolving regional circumstances. The ongoing internecine conflict between belligerent states has proved destructive, with far-reaching consequences felt across the Middle Eastern region. Rising temperatures of conflict have coincided with surging global oil prices, affecting economies worldwide. Pakistan chose to stand firm while maintaining neutrality despite strategic pressures and regional commitments.
Pakistan voluntarily offered its services to mediate between the warring countries, placing the country at center stage diplomatically while India appeared increasingly isolated during difficult times. The period became turbulent, the journey perilous, and the path tumultuous, prompting Pakistan to step forward in pursuit of peaceful resolution between rival states. The astute brinkmanship of the country’s power structure brought the present government and military considerable recognition — reinforcing the belief that without courage there can be no glory.

In a rapidly changing world, Pakistan must continue to act as a unified national entity. In omnia paratus — prepared for all circumstances — remains a guiding principle. The Pakistan Army, it is believed, will continue striving to meet the expectations of the people, reflecting public confidence in national guardianship.

In the aftermath of the ongoing conflict, Pakistan could emerge as a significant beneficiary.
