Pakistan Security Forces Kill Key Militant Commander in Balochistan Operation

Pakistani security forces have eliminated Safar Khan, a local commander allegedly affiliated with an India-backed militant group, in a raid in the Kangar area of Mastung district.

According to reports, Khan was a prominent figure in “Operation Heroof 2,” accused of orchestrating attacks on civilians and infrastructure. These included setting up roadblocks, looting vehicles, arson, extortion, and blocking highways targeting local Baloch civilians and businesses in the Nushki and Mastung regions.

The operation in Kangar resulted in Khan’s death and has been described by Pakistani sources as a significant success against the group referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan.”

Balochistan continues to face ongoing militant activity, with security forces conducting intensified counter-terrorism operations in response to insurgent attacks on installations and infrastructure.
