Pakistan Successfully Test-Fires Fatah-II ER Guided Rocket System

Pakistan has conducted a successful test launch of the Fatah-II ER (Extended Range) guided rocket system, showcasing its advancing indigenous precision-strike capabilities.

The test, announced on Tuesday, featured the rocket’s launch with a bright trail, stable flight, and a precise strike on a desert target, resulting in a powerful explosion. Footage from the exercise showed military personnel celebrating the successful hit, along with views of the mobile launch platform and operational teams.

The Fatah-II ER is a surface-to-surface guided multiple launch rocket system designed for high accuracy at extended distances. According to the announcement, this variant has a range of approximately 450 kilometres. It incorporates advanced navigation systems, manoeuvrable trajectory technology, and features intended to enhance its ability to penetrate defences while engaging high-value targets.

This latest firing is part of ongoing training and validation exercises for the Fatah series of rocket systems. The Fatah family, developed to strengthen Pakistan’s conventional artillery and deep-strike options, has seen progressive improvements since its initial variants were introduced earlier this decade.
