President Zardari Appears in High Spirits at Lahore Social Gathering Ahead of China Visit

President Asif Ali Zardari was photographed smiling and engaging warmly with guests at a private social event in Lahore on Friday night, hours before his scheduled departure for an official visit to China.

President Asif Ali Zardari graced the engagement ceremony of the daughter of Nawab Shahzad Ali Khan, extending his personal felicitations to the family and best wishes to the engaged couple.

Nawab Shahzad Ali Khan belongs to a prominent family, and the ceremony brought together members of influential networks in Punjab.

President Zardari is set to depart on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for a week-long visit to China, spanning April 25 to 30. He will travel to Changsha in Hunan Province and Sanya in Hainan Province for high-level meetings with Chinese leadership.

The trip aims to strengthen the Pakistan-China “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership,” with discussions expected on trade, economic cooperation, review of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, defence ties, and marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
