Protests Erupt Outside US Consulate in Lahore Over Killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the United States Consulate General in Lahore on Sunday to protest the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a reported joint US-Israeli strike, international news outlets and eyewitness accounts confirmed.

The rally, largely peaceful according to multiple reports, saw protesters chanting anti-US and anti-Israel slogans while expressing solidarity with Iran and mourning Khamenei’s death. Demonstrators attempted to march closer to the consulate building but were stopped by Punjab Police, who maintained a heavy security presence and prevented any breach of barriers.
