SEASPARK-2026: Pakistan Navy’s Emerging Multi-Domain Maritime Power

A major exercise to showcase Pakistan’s evolving missile, drone, C4ISR, and unmanned maritime capabilities.

Pakistan Navy’s upcoming SEASPARK-2026 exercise is expected to provide an important demonstration of how rapidly Pakistan’s maritime warfare capabilities are evolving. The exercise comes at a time when naval warfare is moving beyond conventional ships and submarines toward an integrated battlefield involving long-range missiles, unmanned systems, drones, satellites, advanced sensors network-centric command and control.
One of the most significant areas to watch will be Pakistan Navy’s submarine warfare capability, particularly the expanding Hangor-class program. The integration of modern sensors, communications, and precision-strike weapons with these submarines could substantially strengthen Pakistan’s sea-denial capability.

The exercise may also provide an opportunity to demonstrate Pakistan’s growing inventory of anti-ship and land-attack missile systems, including indigenous Harbah-family weapons and other systems acquired through international defense cooperation.
However, the exact weapons and firing sequences to be demonstrated during SEASPARK-2026 should be distinguished from speculation until officially confirmed by Pakistan Navy.
Another major development is the increasing role of unmanned aerial systems.
Pakistan has expanded its drone capabilities through indigenous development as well as the acquisition of systems such as the Turkish Bayraktar TB2. Naval drones can provide persistent surveillance, target identification, maritime reconnaissance, and, when appropriately equipped, support precision engagement.
Pakistan is also developing a wider ecosystem of loitering munitions and unmanned surface vessels (USVs). Their incorporation into naval operations represents an important shift toward distributed maritime warfare, where relatively inexpensive unmanned platforms can extend surveillance and create additional challenges for an adversary.

Perhaps the most important transformation, however, is occurring behind the weapons themselves: C4ISR—Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.
Modern naval warfare depends not simply on detecting a target or possessing a missile but on how rapidly information can move from sensor to command center to shooter.
Pakistan’s increasing integration of maritime radars, airborne sensors, satellites, communications networks, and command-and-control systems is therefore strategically significant.
The emerging architecture allows different platforms to operate as part of a connected battlespace rather than as isolated weapons systems. A submarine, surface vessel, aircraft, drone, coastal radar, or satellite can potentially contribute information to a common operational picture.This is the real significance of SEASPARK-2026.

The exercise is not merely about displaying individual missiles, ships, or drones. It is about demonstrating whether Pakistan Navy can connect these capabilities into a single, integrated maritime combat system.
Pakistan Navy’s upcoming SEASPARK-2026 exercise is expected to provide an important demonstration of how rapidly Pakistan’s maritime warfare capabilities are evolving.
Pakistan’s naval modernization is consequently moving toward a multi-domain force in which conventional warships and submarines operate alongside unmanned platforms, precision weapons, space-based information, and network-centric command systems.
If SEASPARK-2026 successfully demonstrates this integration, it will send a clear strategic message: Pakistan Navy’s future deterrence will increasingly depend not only on the number of platforms it possesses, but on its ability to detect, decide and strike across the maritime battlespace with speed, precision and coordination.
The era of the traditional naval platform is giving way to the era of the networked maritime battlespace—and SEASPARK-2026 could provide an important window into Pakistan Navy’s preparation for that future.
