Zardari expresses solidarity with Iran during flight to Iraq

President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed solidarity with Iran during a flight to Iraq.

According to the President House, when the President’s plane entered Iranian airspace while en route from Islamabad to Baghdad, he sent a message of goodwill to the Iranian leadership.

The message was sent to the Iranian Supreme Leader and the President of Iran.

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam has appreciated President Asif Ali Zardari for his goodwill gesture of sending a message for the Iranian people while passing through Iranian airspace en-route to Iraq for a four-day visit.

In a post on X, the Iranian Ambassador said this gracious and thoughtful gesture is a clear reflection of the deep-rooted bonds of mutual respect, solidarity, and enduring friendship and fraternity between Iran and Pakistan.

Welcoming the President to the Iranian airspace, Reza Amiri Moghadam said Tehran reaffirms its firm commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and elevating relations to new and higher levels. He said our shared hope and aspiration remain the promotion of peace, stability, development and the well-being of the entire region.
