Delta A350 and Air Canada 777 Collide at Los Angeles International Airport, No Injuries Reported

A Delta Air Lines Airbus A350-941 and an Air Canada Boeing 777 collided on the ground at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, causing visible damage to both aircraft but no reported injuries.
The collision occurred near Terminal 6 while the two widebody aircraft were manoeuvring on the ramp. The Delta A350, which was preparing for its scheduled flight to Tokyo-Haneda, struck the Air Canada Boeing 777 with its left wing, hitting the Canadian-registered aircraft’s right horizontal stabilizer.
All passengers and crew aboard both aircraft were reported to be unharmed.
Both aircraft were subsequently grounded for inspection, resulting in flight disruptions and delays for passengers. The airlines and aviation authorities have yet to release full details regarding the extent of the damage or the precise sequence of events leading to the collision.
An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the ground collision.
