Elon Musk Calls Instagram a ‘Girls-Only App’ in Latest Dig

The world’s richest man and owner of social media platform X, Elon Musk, has taken a fresh swipe at Instagram, sarcastically describing it as an app “only for girls” in a comment on a user’s post.

Musk made the remark while responding to an X user who announced that they had deleted their Instagram account, calling the platform a waste of time.

This is not the first time Musk has criticised Instagram. He has previously mocked the platform’s image-focused culture and questioned its value as a social media service.

Musk’s latest comment has sparked a fresh debate on social media. While many users dismissed the remark as a joke or an example of online trolling, others criticised him for what they described as a gender-biased attitude toward the platform and its users.
