Modi-Trump Hold Telephone Conversation on Bilateral Ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump held an important telephone conversation and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas.

In a post on social media platform X, Modi said his conversation with President Trump was productive. The two leaders agreed to further strengthen the comprehensive global strategic partnership between India and the United States and maintain close communication.

During the conversation, Modi and Trump reviewed cooperation in trade, defence, energy, critical and advanced technologies, and other areas of mutual interest.

The two countries are already working on various initiatives to expand cooperation in defence, technology, energy and trade.

Regional and global developments were also discussed during the telephone conversation, along with ongoing efforts to promote international peace and security.

Modi said India and the United States remain committed to maintaining close coordination on bilateral and global issues.
