Rahul Gandhi Says 6 People Run the System in India, Targets Modi Shah Doval Bhagwat Adani and Ambani

Leader of Opposition in India’s Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the country’s entire “system” is being run by six people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and businessmen Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani.

Addressing students at the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, Gandhi said his fight was against what he described as the “system” rather than against any individual. He alleged that six people sit at the top of this system and control its different layers.

Gandhi alleged that Ajit Doval controls the country’s communications system, including telephones, WhatsApp and Facebook, and claimed that phone tapping and the collection of information were being used to pass information to Amit Shah and Narendra Modi. These were allegations made by Gandhi at the event; he did not provide evidence for them in the remarks reported by the media.

He further alleged that Amit Shah handles the “enforcement” side of the system, including intimidation and the use of force against students, while Mohan Bhagwat handles its ideological component. Gandhi also alleged that Bhagwat’s organisation receives thousands of crores of rupees to run schools, colleges and other institutions.

Referring to Adani and Ambani, Gandhi alleged that the two industrialists handle the financial side of the system and provide financial support to the BJP.

Gandhi said the system does not want students who ask questions, but instead wants people who do not challenge it. His remarks came during the fifth edition of his ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ initiative, which has focused on education, examinations, recruitment and employment-related concerns.
