Chinese Ambassador Conveys Beijing’s Deep Appreciation for Pakistan’s Role in Middle East and Gulf Peace Efforts

The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan visited the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday to express the Government of China’s deep appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in advancing peace and security in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The move comes amid ongoing tensions in the area, including the fallout from the US-Israeli conflict with Iran, where Pakistan has actively supported de-escalation and dialogue alongside China. The two countries recently issued a joint five-point initiative aimed at restoring stability in the Gulf and Middle East, calling for an immediate ceasefire, protection of maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, and broader international participation in peace efforts.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had earlier praised Pakistan’s consistent diplomatic contributions during high-level talks in Beijing with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. The ambassador’s visit underscores the strong bilateral coordination between Islamabad and Beijing on regional and global issues.
Pakistan and China have reiterated their commitment to close communication and multilateral cooperation to ease tensions and promote lasting peace in the region.
