“We’re no longer a surprise today, and that’s a great source of pride,” Ouahbi said ahead of the match.
He added: “Our objective is to win the World Cup. We are not here simply because reaching the quarter-finals is enough.”
France assistant coach Guy Stephan acknowledged the challenge Morocco present despite France’s impressive form throughout the tournament.
“It’s a well-organised, well-structured team,” Stephan said while praising Morocco’s ability to transition quickly from defence to attack.
