Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit India in September to attend the 18th BRICS Summit, scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 12 and 13.
India, which assumed the BRICS chairmanship for 2026, will host the summit under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
The visit will mark President Pezeshkian’s first trip to India since assuming office. During his visit, he is expected to hold bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The talks are likely to focus on strengthening bilateral relations, cooperation concerning the Chabahar Port, and the latest developments in West Asia.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for Tehran and New Delhi to discuss regional and economic cooperation amid evolving geopolitical developments in West Asia.
