In a statement shared on social media, Massive Attack said members of the group were detained and questioned separately after the concert.

The band also said hotel rooms were searched and some passports were temporarily confiscated during the investigation. It added that it had not anticipated that displaying the flag of a state recognised by many countries would violate Singaporean law.
