PM Condemns Iranian Attacks on Saudi Facilities, Reaffirms Full Solidarity in Call with MBS

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday to review the latest regional developments amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) readout and statements from the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed ongoing hostilities, with a particular focus on recent Iranian missile and drone strikes targeting energy facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, including the Al Jubail petrochemical complex and oil infrastructure.

Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned the Iranian attacks, describing them as a “serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity” and a “dangerous escalation” that threatens regional stability. He expressed Pakistan’s condolences to the families of any victims and reiterated Islamabad’s “unwavering and unflinching solidarity and support” for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people.

Sharif also commended Saudi Arabia’s restraint in the face of the attacks and assured Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that Pakistan stands “shoulder to shoulder” with its Saudi brothers and sisters during these challenging times.

The call comes hours after Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry issued a separate statement unequivocally condemning the Iranian strikes on Saudi energy facilities, calling them a threat to broader regional peace. Pakistan has consistently expressed support for Saudi security while navigating its complex relationships in the Gulf.

The conversation underscores the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in long-standing economic, security, and people-to-people connections.
